When is a pack of cards not a pack cards? How much design can you remove before a pack of cards become, well, just pieces of card. Minim is a deck of regulation playing cards that pushes the boundaries of practicality and considers how much design is actually required to maintain an enjoyably playable deck, and the answer is not very much. All pictures and familiar patterns have been removed, replaced with small but clear numbers and letters and simple geometric symbols which are reductive versions of hearts, clubs, diamonds and spades. A regulation pack must have some detail on the back of the card and here the normal ornamental graphics have gone and in their place a single diagonal line has been added. Available in black or white the Minim cards will bring a whole new level of sophistication to even the most high stakes game of snap.
